I have a conundrum. I didn’t know what to call this… beverage. Not that I had many options. What it is is a cereal milk milkshake. But that sounds rather silly, don’t you think? I want to call it a cereal milk shake instead. Which is factually wrong, because the milkshake itself isn’t really made of cereal. It’s made of cereal milk. So, it should be a cereal milk milkshake.

I just don’t like the sound of that.

But I digress. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and a cereal milk shake by any other anything would taste as fucking awesome.

I’ve had a super busy week at work and haven’t had time to scratch my own behind, let alone blog, so I’ll have to leave you with this short and 110% sweet post.

Cereal milk shake
4 scoops cereal milk ice cream (recipe here)
4 cups whole milk
3 cups Crunchy Nut cornflakes
  1. First, make the cereal milk ice cream if you haven’t already.
  2. About 30 mins before you want the milk shake, put 4 cups of whole milk and 3 cups of Crunchy Nut cornflakes in a bowl and let steep for about 20 mins.
  3. Then place a fine sieve over another bowl and scoop spoonfuls of cereal mixture, pressing the mixture to squeeze all the milk into the bowl. Repeat until complete, you should have about 3 cups of cereal milk. (You can compost the waste from the cereal.)
  4. Pour the cereal milk in a blender and add 4 scoops of cereal milk ice cream.
  5. Blend until well mixed.
  6. Sprinkle extra Crunchy Nut cornflakes on top to serve. (Although I must warn you, the cornflakes might jam up your straw.)
Serves 2.
