I know I’ve been a little bit slack with posting lately. My consistent three-posts-per-week has gradually dropped to two, and if I didn’t come up with this impromptu post today, it would have been one this week. Not that I feel pressured to post. Blogging is actually down time for me, and something I “do” to “relax”.

Yes, I unwind from being on my laptop all day… by being on my laptop all day. True story.

I could come up with a myriad of excuses for why my posts seem to be dwindling, but I don’t need to make excuses. I know full well who (what) the culprit is and I accusingly point the finger at you, Instagram. You. I am so addicted to you that you’re the first one I touch when I wake in the morning. When I can’t sleep, I turn to you to give me inspiration (for what, I don’t know. Definitely not to get back to sleep). I refresh you constantly, all day, and when your service goes down (like it did yesterday), I feel the onset of withdrawal symptoms, and I keep refreshing (to no avail) until my battery goes flat.

If you threatened to leave me, I would quite seriously consider pledging my first born to get you back.

And yes, it’s your fault I’m blogging less because it’s just So Much More Fun to post on YOU! (not to mention how everything looks better on you…)

Sigh.

Well, to keep my toe on this side of sanity, I decided to write a normal blog post today. I met up with my friend Mags for lunch at Makanai, a little Japanese sushi-train joint just south of Pitt St Mall. It was ok. The company and conversation was better than the food

Oh except for the green tea cake. That was surprisingly delicious!

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend! Come find me on Instagram @cattylicious! I’m going to a schnitzel and kimchi party tomorrow night. You heard right, schnitzel and kimchi. Together. With mayo.
