fairy bread

My posts have all been a little word-heavy lately, and I for one appreciate that out of the nobody who reads this blog, nobody really has time to read all of my dribble (unless you’re really bored in which case, sorry for this lite’n’easy post, with 99% less calories).

Simple foods that turn my frown upside down…

(And don’t be pretendin’ like fairy bread doesn’t make you smile. Liar!)

gelato from Scoop, Covent Garden

Gelato from Scoop (my choice is always stracciatella and pistachio) and this isn’t a treat, it’s a necessity for living.

red velvet cake from Hummingbird Bakery

Red velvet cake from Hummingbird Bakery. Need I say more?

mango

Fresh, juicy, sweeeeeet mango. Because we all know how much I love mango.

burger and chips

Good ol’ traditional burger. And chips. And lots of ketchup and mayonnaise.

yeo's chrysanthemum tea

Yeo’s chrysanthemum tea. Actually Yeo’s anything.

kinder bueno

Kinder bueno, my favourite chocolate, for my inner (and outer) child.

muffin and hot chocolate

Comforting (full fat) muffin and hot chocolate with loads of (full fat) milk. Doubly good on a cold rainy morning.

toasted muesli

Nice, simple, healthy toasted muesli, from Lantana (pictured) or Le Pain Quotidien, or even better, my own!

pavlova

And of course, last but certainly not least, pavlova (courtesy of Bea’s of Bloomsbury) because pav-Iloveyou-va, if it were legal, I would totally marry you.

**********

There are lots of other things that make me smile, like puppy dawgs and chubby babies (gawd, clucky), but we won’t go there. What makes you smile?
